I've tried Pilates, massages, putting my phone in a different room, not eating before bed, going for walks on my own, reading but I still can't quite switch off.
Whilst watching TV, looking at my phone I'll still be thinking to myself: How do I win the lottery or find a tree that grows money? What should I wear to that restaurant next week? Is it tonight that I need to put the bins out? Did Joe Bloggs at work think I made sense in that meeting today? What came first, the chicken or the egg? (Seriously, which one came first?!)
I can't turn my brain off. Can anyone though?
I've tried to do mindfulness apps - I can't decide if it works, because I lie there wondering what I'm meant to be experiencing.
I'm hoping posting these blogs will help me to box some of my thoughts off and reduce the heavy weight on my shoulders, rather than lie awake at night trying to every question known to man.
